The Password and The Post-it Note!

You must have come across the requirement to change your password, and when you do please make Pa5$w0rd1# would be considered strong, the challenge comes when you have several accounts that you must log onto and you cant use the same password for all of them, or you must change them every 72 days or so. The aim is to keep your data safe, but it ends up making lose your hair. Most people end up writing down complex passwords on a piece of paper defeating the very purpose of the password. Navigating this complex new reality of our life online, tools such as password managers come into play to ease our troubles as we learn how to navigate this new reality. The Challenge of the Password and the Post-it Note will be a formidable one, but it can be overcome. The right tools, the right knowledge, and the right actions will always prevail.

A strong password in most instances must have at least 8 characters, that is pretty simple, I can handle that, I'll just use my phone number, good try- Not so. Within the 8 Characters, you must have at least one uppercase, a special character, and a number. For example,

In AD780 Muhammad al-Khwarizimi was born in Persia, he grew up to become a mathematician, and came up with a way of solving complex mathematical problems by breaking them down into smaller sections. This paved way for the algorithms we use in computer science today. We hardly even think about them today. Algorithms help your maps work to get you to your destination, they help predict the polls, they make your google search work they are responsible for how Amazon knows just what you need .... here is a BBC IDEAS mini feather on how algorithms got their name just a little over 900 years ago.| algorithms

Where is Terminal?

MacOS High Sierra | Restore Telnet in 10.13.X

The New MacOS is very smooth and is a great build. The New OS comes packed with many new features including privacy management on Safari as well as photo editing features that are simple yet powerful. The OS also introduces a new files system the APFS which has very good backward compatibility with older Macs [as far back as 2009] the APFS runs very efficiently and allows older

hardware to run the OS. But you definitely need more RAM to enjoy the new system. Currently I run my early 2011 mac on 6GB and it  performs quite well and pretty impressed. Battery management is great and the unit does not heat up as it used to when I first run Mavericks a couple of years back.  With the New High Sierra was the exclusion of telnet as a terminal command. If you run shell commands to manage network equipment you now the value of terminal running telnet! All hope is not lost!I found this website that shows you how to update homebrew and restore telnet on your mac and you will be up and running in no time! For the instructions please follow this link
